The Tidewater Chapter offers one training in the Spring of the year. Classroom sessions for 2027 are planned for March 1, 8, 15, 22, April 5, 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 10 (6-9PM). Field trip dates not yet assigned. Expect 3-4 Saturday commitments from 9am-1pm (plus travel time). Attendance is mandatory for all classes and field trips.

The standard training fee is $135 and includes all materials, field trip fees and first year chapter dues. Variable pricing is available for those in financial support.

Applications for the Spring 2027 Basic Training class will be available November 15, 2026. Additionally information and links to all necessary documents are listed below and will also be available at that time.

NOTE: Applications need to be completed in one sitting. Assemble all information ahead of time. The deadline for receipt of applications and all references is January 15, 2027. Personal references are required for a complete application. All applicants should send their references the additional document provided (either word or pdf format) allowing time for completion by the deadline. Applicants will be notified in January of the interview schedule.
