Basic Training

Each spring, the chapter hosts a 40 hour Basic Training class with a mixture of classroom and field trip instruction. The state website What You’ll Learn page gives a good overview of the types of topics covered in this training course.

We had guest speakers from a few notable “green” organizations in the area. We had three field trips to see nature in person. My favorite activity was looking for frogs at Grafton Pond.

I am now putting my skills to work supporting chapter and other projects in the area.
