Citizen Science Water Quality Monitoring Volunteer Training

iCal

LRNow Is looking for a few dedicated Citizen Scientists to help expand its Water Quality Monitoring Program.  Our current program monitors eight sites.  In 2018, our goal is to increase sampling sites within the Lynnhaven and expand to waterways throughout Virginia Beach.  With the addition of the right volunteers, LRNow plans to add twelve more sites to its monthly monitoring.

Volunteers will receive training and all the necessary equipment.  Volunteers need to commit to sampling every month, recording and charting data, and delivering the sample to a predetermined location using specific protocols.

To register for the training workshop, contact Dana@LRNow.org or 757-962-5398.  For questions about the program, contact Helen Kuhns at Helen@LRNow.org or 757-962-5398.
